Workstation Fans

The Risks of Excessive Heat and Humidity

Excessive heat and humidity combined with lack of fresh air or stagnant uncirculated air can wreak havoc on your employees’ health, leading to heatstroke, heat exhaustion, lowered productivity and even missed work days. It can also damage sensitive equipment, like electronics, circuit boards and heavy machinery. Benefits of Workstation Ventilation

Workstation ventilation is designed to circulate air in a particular location, such as within a cubical, office or a specific workstation along an assembly line. If you install fans at your workstations, you are helping to circulate the air so that it does not feel as stuffy or stagnant, while also giving the feeling of cooler air. If your office, manufacturing building or warehouse has a central HVAC system, the fans will also help get hot air to the HVAC system where it can be filtered and cooled, thus increasing the efficiency and reducing the overall cost of your central AC. Installing evaporative coolers or portable air conditioners can help filter and cool the air within the employee workstation, which makes the area more comfortable and reduces the risk of your employees experiencing heat-related illnesses.

Types of Workstation Ventilation

The type of workstation ventilation you choose will depend on the size of the area and the amount of cooling power needed. If you just need a small amount of air circulation, you may want to choose a desk fan or pedestal fan. If you need extra cooling power in exceptionally hot and humid areas, you may want to choose a portable air conditioner for what is known as spot cooling.

Drum and Barrel Cooling Fans

Portable drum or  barrel cooling fans are great for medium to large workstation areas, especially those located on assembly lines or in warehouses. These fans are designed to move a lot of air while using very little power. These fans have wheels or casters for easy transport between areas. Our drum and barrel workstation cooling fans can be purchased with fan blade sizes between 24” and 60”. Air movement options available from 3,600 CFM up to 30,000 CFM.

Evaporative Cooling Fans

Our portable evaporative cooling fans are great for spaces where you need a little more cooling power than a standard fan can provide, while saving on the expense of purchasing and running and air conditioner. These fans utilize standard tap water to lower the temperature of the air. When the air is sucked into the unit by the fan, it first passes over the water reservoir and through filtration media before being sent out of the unit. We offer indoor and outdoor rated units with fan blade sizes 16” to 50", and CFM's up to 25,000 for larger more open areas.

High-Velocity and Workstation Fans

When you need to move a lot of air quickly and over a long distance, you may want to consider our high-velocity fans .  Workstation air circulator fans are a great choice for personal cooling within a specific work space. We offer floor models, also wall and ceiling mounted models to help you keep your indoor spaces cool in the heat of the summer. These fans are great for assembly lines and large manufacturing plants with individual workstations on the manufacturing floor. These fans can be purchased with belt or direct drive motors, depending on the model, and with fan blades ranging in size from 12” to 54”.

Pedestal, Floor and Desk Fans

When it comes to keeping small offices and cubicles cool and comfortable, you can’t go wrong with one of our floor, pedestal or desk fans. Oscillating heavy-duty and commercial pedestal fans can be placed in convenient locations, like in corners and next to walls, where they are out of the way, yet still able to circulate the air. Our multi-speed floor fans can be placed behind, under or in front of workstations and angled in order to provide the most effective air-flow possible, and our desk fans can be placed on shelves on desktops in order to provide direct airflow to the individual. These fans come with blade sizes that range between 11” and 30”, depending on the type and style of fan.

Portable Air Conditioners

Portable air conditioners are great for any space that needs extra cooling and dehumidification. Our portable air conditioners are designed to be extremely versatile because they can be vented to existing air ducts. This means you do not have to have access to a window in order to install it. These units are great for offices, computer rooms and mechanical equipment rooms as well as anywhere else you need extra cooling power.
