where is the switch for the different speeds? I would be using this fan for pulling hot air out of a kitchen area.

Would this fan(s) be suitable for a pool chemical dispenser room ventilation ?
This fan is great for moving air through 4" ducting, and should work well for your application as long as the chemical fumes that are being exhauated are not deemed to be flammable or explosive.

No. The fan would have to be connected to a thermostat to be temperature activated.
