Industrial and Commercial Ventilator Fan Uses

Ventilator fans are extremely useful in all types of spaces, whether the space has a central HVAC unit or not. These fans can be used to add additional fresh and clean outdoor air to the indoor spaces, remove and ventilate air that is contaminated, hot or moisture laden, remove small particles, like dust, metal sharps and small bits of plastic and extract fumes so that they do not contaminate the indoor area and contribute to indoor air pollution.

Types of Ventilator Fans

Ventilator fans are typically put into several categories some are based on how and where they are mounted, including rooftop or walls. Other fans of these types are categorized as either direct drive or belt drive depending on how the fan blade is being driven. We even have explosion proof versions of most of our ventilator fans.

Wall MountVentilator Fans

Cabinet and wall ventilator fans are typically mounted through walls or inside cabinets, including equipment cabinets in order to improve airflow around and inside equipment and vent potentially harmful heat, humidity and fumes.

Shuttered Ventilator Fans – We offer belt driven and direct driven shutter mounted ventilator fans that can be installed in the wall to vent exhaust gases, heat and humidity to the outdoors with CFMs of up to 55,000.
Cabinet Style Wall Ventilator Fans – The cabinet mounted wall ventilator fans are available in multiple speeds that are either belt driven or direct drive and come in CFMs of up to 55,000. The cabinet casing of these fans offers a wider surface to install in thicker wall openings.
Filtered Wall Ventilator Fans – The filtered wall ventilator fans are perfect for when you need to remove dust and particulate matter from exhaust air before venting it to the outside. This may be due to OSHA requirements, EPA requirements or other building codes set in place. These fans come with CFMs of up to 25,000.
Explosion Proof Wall Mounted Ventilator Fans – The explosion proof shutter mounted fans and explosion proof cabinet type ventilator fans are perfect for use in hazardous location areas that contain ethyl, ether, acetone, ammonia, charcoal and other harmful and explosive gases and fumes. These industrial fans can be purchased with CFMs up to 55,000.

Duct Mounted Ventilator Fans

Duct mounted ventilator fans are mounted inside permanent or temporary/portable air ducts. If the duct mounted fan is installed into exhaust air ducts, it helps remove hot, stale, contaminated air from the building or specific workspace.

Multi-Purpose Duct Inline Ventilator Fans – Our multi-purpose duct inline fans are perfect for high-static pressure applications and all lengths of ducting. These smaller duct ventilators can be used for bathrooms, kitchens, small storage rooms, welding booths, dryer vents, warm and cold air transfer, utility rooms and more. They can be purchased with variable speed motors and controls, and come in ranges from 100 CFM up to 5,000 CFM.
Confined Space Ventilator Fans – The standard confined space ventilator fans work great for small rooms with limited airflow and underground operations. While the explosion proof confined space ventilator fans are an important tool for working inside hazardous enclosed areas with flammable or explosive fumes, gases and or particulates. These fans are available with belt driven and direct drive motors and with CFMs of 75,000 or more.
Tube Axial Large Duct Ventilator Fans – Our tube axial belt and tube axial direct drive ventilator fans are low-maintenance and available with one and three phase options. These durable fans can be purchased with CFMs of up to 75,000.
Explosion Proof Axial Inline Fans – Our explosion proof axial inline fans and filtered explosion proof filtered ventilator fans are rated to work in areas with combustible gases, dry environments and extremely hazardous environments that contain smoke. These fans can be purchased with CFMs up to 75,000.

Roof Mounted Ventilator Fans

Roof mounted ventilator fans are installed through roofs in order to help with air circulation in large and small spaces. These fans can be used for apartment buildings, chemical process exhaust, laboratory fume hoods, commercial kitchens and restaurants, and areas that need extra ventilation above heavy equipment and machinery to help rid the area of harmful exhaust gases.

Upblast Roof Ventilator Fans – Our upblast centrifugal roof ventilator fans and upblast axial roof ventilator fans are perfect for venting heat, humidity and stale air from indoor spaces. These fans can be purchased with variable speed motors and CFMs of up to 75,000.
Downblast Roof Ventilator Fans – Our downblast centrifugal roof fans are available with direct drive or belt driven motors. They are great for moving large amounts of hot, humid, contaminate air from indoor spaces in order to improve air quality. These rooftop vent fans are designed to work with moderate to high static pressures and can be used in conjunction with ducting. These durable fans can be purchased with CFMs up to 25,000.
