Older-style Triac-controlled variable speed fans would get less efficient the slower they ran due to regulating the voltage, thereby making the CFM/Watt (or (m3/hour)/W) worse. The V-Fan motor is not only VFD-driven, meaning the frequency (hertz) to the motor is driven, but it’s also a PMAC motor, yielding greater efficiency than induction VFD-driven motors.
V-Fan is direct drive - so no belts to maintain or bearings to grease The VFD gives you the control you need to provide the ideal environment
Features:
Features a Permanent-Magnet (PMAC) motor and individually-tuned integral drive.
Available in fiberglass (36”, 50”, 54”), Sable™ (36”, 54”), galvanized (36”, 54”) and Z-Fan™ materials (36”, 54”).
Fan options include single or three phase inputs in either 50Hz (please call for 50Hz) or 60 Hz at 200-240V, 380-420V or 420-480V.
Blade options are cast aluminum, galvanized and stainless steel.
Unique four-point galvanized or stainless steel motor mount design provides minimum air restriction and vibration-free performance.
Slant wall design provides reduced weather intrusion, easy cleaning, water drainage and improved performance.
Full 1” diameter motor shaft, on 50” & 54” models, helps extend motor bearing life.
High quality shutters are available in aluminum or black or white PVC.
Tough rust proof shutter clips are designed with stay-put features.
