QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
Under what conditions do I need to add the weather hood and bird screen vs relying on the shutter system?
Thank you for your question. A weather hood is recommended when there can possibly be significant wind and/or rain driving directly at the exterior of the fan. If the wind is strong enough, it can cause significant strain on the fan, and even blow back into the interior space. Further, the hood keeps rain/snow off of the unit itself and away from the wall penetration you make to mount the fan in the wall.
