Hopper agitation is necessary for a number of diverse applications. Using a non-positive displacement design, regenerative blowers reproduce air molecules. This method creates the pressure or vacuum needed in nearly every industry in operation today. In some cases, these blowers might be referred to as ring compressors or side channel blowers. These terms are used by some people because of the blowers' physical design -- because of their basic operating principles. 

The primary difference between  single stage regenerative blowers and two stage regenerative blowers is the number of times that air molecules travel around the blower's housing. As you might expect, with single stage units emit air molecules that travel around their housing once before being exhausted to the outside. With two stage regenerative blowers, though, the impeller strikes the air molecules a number of times. The air molecules then move around the impeller's front side before being directed toward its rear again. This repeated pattern produces nearly two times the vacuum or pressure of those units that are single stage.
