Shutter Mounted Exhaust Fan is perfect for removing excess heat, moisture, dust and odors from virtually any residential or commercial space. Applications include: workshops, welding rooms, restaurants, factories, warehouses, barns, and greenhouses. This wall mounted exhaust fan features aluminum blades, OSHA compliant wire guards, and automatic gravity shutters that open and close in conjunction with the operation of the fan. The completely enclosed motor is thermally protected and permanently lubricated. This fan comes fully assembled and ready to install out of the box.

Does this have any kind of wind rating as a shutter? ie can it be used in a hurricane zone?

Thank you for your question. This unit uses a gravity style shutter which is meant to open just from outward flowing air. However, hurricane force or even strong storm winds could definitely open these up. You may want to consider a motorized shutter and panel fan combination if you are looking for something that is more resistant to strong winds
