This galvanized box fan line features heavy gauge G90 galvanized components for long life and harsh environments, heavy gauge OSHA compliant galvanized wire guards, and sealed ball bearing duty motors. Industrial grade fan blades are matched with the motors for maximum efficiency, airflow and motor life. Each box fan includes a hanging bracket as well as eyebolt holes in the cabinets for hanging options.

Is it OK to use variable frequency drive to control the speed of this fan?
Thank you for our question. Although it may technically work, the manufacturer only warranty's the motor on these units for one speed operation. Running it below full speed will shorten it's life and void the warranty.

Is this fan ok to ventilate a dusty woodshop?
This fan does have a Totally Enclosed motor, so should hold up in the dusty environment. You will always want to perform periodic maintenance to remove dust from fan blades, motor etc.. to improve the life of the fan.

How well does the fan seal when its not on? The building is under AC
The gravity dampers on this unit are balanced to drop to a closed off position when fan is not running. If high winds are a factor, an All Weather Hood May want to be considered, so that chattering is less likely.
