QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
What is the decibel??
The decibel rating on this fan is 78 @ 10ft.
-
How many speeds
Thank you for your question. These units are single speed, but can be used with a VFD to control speed. This one here would work - https://www.industrialfansdirect.com/collections/controls/products/esv402n04txb
-
Is there a minimum Hz that the fan should operate at on a VFD?
Thank you for your question. The motor used on this unit is able to be adjusted down to 6hz.
-
I installed this fan with a FR-d700 VFD and just wondering what the max Hertz setting I should use for the fan. Is 60 Hz correct as per specifications tab?
Thank you for your question. Yes, the motor is 60hz and should not exceed that setting.

Which weather hood would fit this fan+shutter?
Thank you for your question. This is the unit that will fit the best:
https://www.industrialfansdirect.com/collections/dampers-shutters-and-weather-hoods/products/rh42 -
Would the automatic shutter be ok for an exhaust fan that is on all the time? Or would a 42" bird hood be a better choice? Need something to protect from the weather when on 24x7
Thank you for your question. To protect from weather, a combination of both the shutter and hood are recommended. The shutter closes when not in operation, and keep outside air from blowing in. The hood helps to keep driving rain and snow out when in operation, and protects the opening that you cut in the wall to mount the fan. If you have to choose just one though, and the fan will truly be on 24/7, the hood is probably the better option.

Will this run on 208V 3 Phase? If so, will it get 23000 CFM or less?
Thank you for your question. Yes, this unit can run on voltages down to 207V 3 phase. It may have slightly less RPM, which would translate into slighlty lower CFM. However, the difference would be negligible.
