Shutter Mounted Exhaust Fan is perfect for removing excess heat, moisture, dust and odors from virtually any residential or commercial space. Applications include: workshops, welding rooms, restaurants, factories, warehouses, barns, and greenhouses. This wall mounted exhaust fan features aluminum blades, OSHA compliant wire guards, and automatic gravity shutters that open and close in conjunction with the operation of the fan. The completely enclosed motor is thermally protected and permanently lubricated. This fan comes fully assembled and ready to install out of the box.

Can this fan be installed on a wall with 2x4 studs and siding on both sides; /4" on one side and 1/8" on the other side?

What is approximately the lowest CFM before it stalls when using the MC5 speed control, without the louvers? I assume the louvers will drop at some CFM level, what might that be?

The MC5 controller will reduce the CFM / speed of the fan by approx. 1/3
Can the louvers be opened independently of the fan or do they open only when it is running?

The shutters open and close with the turning On and Off of the fan.
Is the housing aluminum? What areas would be susceptible to rusting?

Yes. Housing and blade are aluminum.
Hi! It says this comes with a cord and a plug, but in the pictures it looks like it needs to be hardwired. Can you please advise which one it is?

These are the photos that the manufacturer has given us, but the fan does come with cord and plug.
Hello is this fan powerful enough to cool a generator in 98 cubic ft storage box.

This exhaust fan, like all exhaust fans, will need proper intake ventilation. When you pull air out, new air needs to replace it. This fan will exchange the air in the box 5 times per minute or so. You may want to connect a variable speed control to the unit, so it can be turned down if needed.
